What Wondrous Love Is This

Something for the weekend.  What Wondrous Love is This.  Written circa 1811 by that endlessly prolific composer anonymous, the hymn did not gain popularity until the last half of the last century.  I have always found it profoundly moving.  The video above pairing the hymn with views of the Pieta was a stroke of genius.   The hymn reminds us that we are children of a loving God, a great fact that is all too easy to forget in this Vale of Tears.
