This is the Army

Something for the weekend.  Irving Berlin served as a sergeant in the Army in World War I, so he knew what he was talking about when he wrote “This is the Army” during World War II which explained to civilians a little bit of what they could expect in the Army.  The first performance of this song I saw was on the Hogan’s Heroes sitcom during the Sixties:
