The Navy Hymn

Something for the Weekend.  Considering this is the weekend of the 10th anniversary of 9-11, I could think of nothing more appropriate than the Navy Hymn.  Written in 1860 by William Whiting with the tune provided by the Reverend John B. Dykes, it is often played at funerals for those who have fallen in our nation’s wars. (more…)
